Ian Goldberg's 8 year tenure with Boka Restaurant Group can be characterized by the same traits that Ian mentors on a daily basis: hard work, dedication to your craft, and enlightened service. Ian has a strong passion for food and wine and an attention to detail that has made him one of the premier professionals in his field.

Ian Goldberg was born on January 29, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from The University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a focus in Entrepreneurship.

Prior to working with the Boka Restaurant Group, Ian spent 3 years in management and training with a multi-unit restaurant corporation in Chicago. He was the first employee ever hired by Boka Restaurant Group and in his 6 years he has worked in many different capacities.

Ian's career at Boka Restaurant Group began by working in the front of the house at Boka as a bartender in 2003, eventually earning a promotion to Assistant General Manager at Landmark in 2005. Shortly after being promoted to General Manager at Landmark in 2006, Ian was named General Manager at Boka Restaurant in 2007. During his tenure, Boka has received three stars from both Chicago Tribune and Chicago Magazine. Perennial was named Top 50 Best New Restaurants according to Travel and Leisure in 2009.

In March 2011, Ian was again promoted, this time to vice president of BOKA Restaurant Group. He currently oversees the operations at BOKA, Landmark, Perennial, Girl & the Goat, as well as GT Fish & Oyster.

Ian passed the introductory sommelier course from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2008 and is widely respected among his peers for possessing a formidable palate.
